After two tries with two different Ewald outlets to get service on my first Jeep in 30 years, Schlossmann nailed it on the very first try. Ewald Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram Franklin in Franklin had made an appointment to do a recall repair on the cruise control software. They said it would take one to three hours, which sounded like BS. But it was the fact that "Larry" in service was such a dickhead that made me cancel. My next attempt was Ewald Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram of Oconomowoc, which is actually where we'd leased the vehicle on a Costco reference. I sat on hold for 20 minutes the first attempt. The next time I gave my contact info -- including telling her we'd leased the Jeep there --- to a receptionist who said the service reps must be helping other "guests." Huh? Anyhow, the return call never came. After checking the Yelp reviews, I next called Schlossmann. In just a few rings, a pleasant woman in service picked up. I explained what I needed. She said they were doing these recalls w/o appointments because it was "just software." She said just drop by, and it shouldn't take more than 20-40 minutes. Now, call me skeptical. But I had time the other day, so I drove on in to the service dept at Schlossmann. And dang if they didn't do exactly what they said they'd do. I was there 50 minutes, start to finish. And they'd washed the Jeep to boot! Well, I can tell you Schlossmann is going to get all our service work as long as we're in this area. And if we want another Jeep when this lease is up, they've earned that business too. Now if they could just do something about that racist logo with the cowboy hat shot up with arrows ...
